Uploading by EMAIL | Uploading by FTP

Note: You must have played Total Distortion, created a video, and saved a video that you created in the game to your hard disk in order to upload to our site. We will not accept any files other than TD Video files and text files that describe the videos. Any other uploads will be erased and not posted to the downloads folder. Thank You....

METHOD 1 - SUBMITTING BY EMAIL

This is perhaps the easiest way to get your videos to us, and after a few days, the world. Here is all you have to do:

  1. Compose a new message and address it to popinfo@poprocket.com (if your web browser supports mailto's then simply click on the address).

  2. In the subject line put the following:
    Subject: TDVid - YOURVIDEONAME (where YOURVIDEONAME is your video title)

  3. In the body of the email, write the following:
    YOUR FULL NAME

    A brief description of your video (up to 3 lines)

  4. Attach your game file as an Attachment. Use binhex encoding when possible, although MIME or 8-bit encoding will work too. Sincethe video files are tiny in size, they do not require zipping or stuffing (compressing).

  5. Send it to procket@poprocket.com (just in case you forgot the address already)

YOU'RE DONE!!! We will look over your video to make sure it is an actual video file, and then we will make it available for download in our FTP download area (which will be fucntional soon). PROCESSING TIME IS 1-6 DAYS, SO EXPECT TO SEE YOUR VIDS UP SOON!!!!

METHOD TWO - SUBMITTING BY FTP

If you prefer uploading it through an ftp client, you have that option as well. You must have an ftp program, and as of right now, you cannot upload through any web browser. Popular shareware ftp clients are Anarchie for Macintosh and WSFTP for Windows and Win95.

  1. Uploading thru involves sending 2 files, the video file, and a text file describing the video.

  2. Prepare the text file in a basic text editor. Simply put your full name, email address, and a short description of your video. Save it as plain text and call it the same name as your video except with a .txt at the end. (e.g. if your video is called bettyp.tdv, then save your text file as bettyp.txt)

  3. Upload yourvideoname.tdv and yourvideoname.txt to the following address:
    ftp.aimnet.com/pub/users/procket/videos/upload/

YOU"RE FINISHED!!!! We will look over your video to make sure it is an actual video file, and then we will make it available for download in our FTP download area (which will be fucntional soon). PROCESSING TIME IS 1-6 DAYS, SO EXPECT TO SEE YOUR VIDS UP SOON!!!!

NOTE: Your videos will be available for download starting February 15th,1995
